Nigerian stars came out in their numbers on Thursday, December 18, 2013 to celebrate the life of an icon and legend; Nelson Mandela at Oceanview Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The free concert was put together by the Nigeria Stars in collaboration with Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV in celebration of the extraordinary life and times of the legendary freedom fighter. Present at the event were Dbanj, Tiwa Savage, Tuface, Waje, Timi Dakolo, Nneka, Ikechukwu, Niyola, Chuddy K, Julius Agwu, Joseph Benjamin, K switch, Nikki Laoye, Victoria Kimani and others.

The Afrobeat singer posted this photo of himself dressed in a suit and looking really dapper. ‘Yes Mr President #IMFcostumefitting #2ndeversuit #tooeasy‘, Seun Kuti, who recently welcomed his first child wrote as he posted this photo on his Instagram. A comment from promoter Ayo Shonaiya has got us laughing though. The manager wrote ‘Ha! Fela pikin wear tie?! White man’s noose? Now I’ve seen it all! Lol. Looking good sha‘. Would Fela approve?
