I Want To Be Remembered For Having So Many Children – Helen Paul
Helen Paul, also known as Tatafo started as a stand-up comedian. Today, there is more to the Edo state born comedian than just the lady that mimics voices on radio. She has featured in many movies and co-hosts popular TV show, Jara. In an interview with showtime, Helen Paul says the situation of the country inspires comedy, describing living in Nigeria as comical. “Each time I think about our country, Nigeria and all the happenings, it is enough to turn one into a comedian. I get inspired when l fused all these together. For example, you visit a home in Victoria Garden City (VGC) and take another stroll to a home in Mushin, Lagos,” she said.
For Men: Leggings Latest Menswear Trend? Meggings They Call It
As if men wearing the urban skirt (shirt tied around the waist) and mandals weren’t odd enough, the fashion world is ushering in a new trend: man leggings. Meggings? If you’d ask me, I’d tell you only muggins wear meggings. Don’t mind the celebs, they can put on whatever, but for us, meggings is a NO. Let’s leave the weir dressing to the celebrities, they do it for attention. Leggings for women are controversial enough as many fashion critics and bloggers have deemed that they’re nor really “pants.” But now men can jump in on this trend and trade in their Rick Owens hard denim for the comfort of “meggings.” Instead of donning a pair of skinny jeans, some guys can now opt for skintight tights that come in black, stripes and animal prints.
Photo: Fashion Advert That Was Banned In The UK
Britain’s advertising watchdog is cracking down on American Apparel again for appearing to sexualize young girls in its fashion ads. The admonished ad, which shows a pantsless model in a sweater and knee-high socks curled up on an office chair, was banned in the UK. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which has targeted the brand several times before, says the photo “inappropriately sexualized a model who appeared to be a child and was therefore irresponsible.”
